Here is some update on Angel's condition after the fall in my previous post 'Swallon Lip and Tongue'. She is feeling much better now and thanks for all your concern *hugs* Her swollen is almost subsided as well as the red lines on her face has totally disappear leaving a small red patch on her outer upper lip.
Somehow she developed mouth ulcer from her minor incision on the inner lip …… oh, poor baby, it must hurt a lot ..... This is the first time I am facing problems with mouth ulcer in toddler but I will bring her to her paediatrician if the ulcer is not getting any better in a day or 2. But at the mean time, any expereince in healing / dealing with her mouth ulcer?

Ouch! must only give liquid food like porridge. no hard stuff cos it will hurt. There are some ointment which can be used, but seek paed assistance.

This is what i was worry about when i read your post yesterday. my girl had exactly the same probleem, felt fown, bleeding that turn mouth ulcer. It can stay there for more than one week.
last time my hubby have to press the ulcer so.. the skin broken, and put some medication. But last time I put chinese watermelon powder, not very effective. She was very resistant and cried from pain... :)Hubby said, the "nanah" have to broken for the medication to get inside.
When we happened to go to the paed for my baby injection. The doc suggest daktarin oral gel.
Last time ziyi's cousin also have mouth ulcer, and the gel worked well...
Hope the ulcer go away soon.. :)
Usually PD will be able to give you some gel-like medicine to apply directly on the ulcer which numbs the area, hence lessen the pain. We use Kenalog when our kids have ulcers.
Actually I read somewhere a while back that the chinese watermelon powder is not best avoided as it contains some kind of ingredients which were previously tested as harmful to health.
Don't worry as kids have amazing healing rate so the ulcers will be gone in no time! :)
Does Angel kept pointing to the ulcer area? Try not to brush her teeth this few days till the ulcer has healed completely. I'm not that experienced with the medication, but I know that my aunt always will use ice-cream/yogurt to "cool" and "soothe" the ulcer so that it will be less irritating to her kids when they developed ulcer. I hope this can be of help to you, but don't hesitate to bring her to her paed if the condition don't get better. Take care, and kisses for Angel...

Now I saw her picture. I was so concern how is she after I saw the ytday post.
Poor baby. I am sure the ulcer will cause her pain when she is eating.

Poor Angel...i believe ur mouth must be painful. So far I nvr hav experienced on mouth ulcer for kid. If not recovered in 2 days time, better seek for doct's advices and get the correct medication. Do update us on the progress and hope little Angel wil recover soon!! Kisses for Little Angel***

Linda, thanks for your useful info ........ This is the first time that I have to deal with mouth ulcer in toddler so I have no idea on how to deal with it. I am glad to know that Daktarin works well on your baby. Now that I know it’s mouth ulcer then I am not that worried :)

Esmeralda, no ... she didn’t point but she keeps opening her mouth and making noise as if she has taken chili or something weird is going on inside her mouth so I know she is feeling painful. Thanks for your concern and ya, I will bring her to her paed if her ulcer is not getting any better tmrw.

Cath, oh ..... I try to avoid the clinic now coz last time after I went for minor things then Angel was infected by the flu and cough virus from kids at the clinic, sigh!

MummyGwen, ya ..... kids who suffer minor injuries in their mouth will developed mouth ulcer, even if they accidentally bite their inner cheek too will cause mouth ulcer :( That happens to me before.
Kristie, last time I tried Bonjela on myself but it’s not effective on me and further more, Bonjela do not stick to the infected area easily so I am sure Angel will eat them in no time. So I was thinking to look for other option lo .....

Yugene, we didn’t go to the doctor this round as her ulcer seems to get better, no more white spot now and only still quite red but better then yesterday, thanks for your concern dear.
