This is what my little Angel has been up to lately, still loves drawings or doodles as usual. She will not be doing this everyday but instead, she will asked me for “draw draw” whenever she feels like it, normally 1 drawing every 2 days. She started learning to draw some object but still, I can’t make out the object from her piece of work yet :P I’ve always asked her what is she drawing about but she will either remain silence or will baby talk to me ……. apart from the 1st piece of drawing below “The Sun, The Moon and The Stars” where she tell me exactly what they were while pointing to me :) Enjoy the work of my little Picasso at home :)

Good job from Angel. *clap clap* Mommy's narration of the pictures is really creative lah..haha.
Very colourful drawings from your lil' gal. :)
Should continue this habit for Angel...
Mummy Caroline really clever can see the 'stuff' behind the drawing ya!! :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LITTLE ANGEL!
clever angel! at least she is drawing or doodling all sorts of shapes and sizes instead of just normal strokes.... it is good!!!
Improve than before..Caroline..do you think 1 year 5 monthis a good start to intro crayons? I wonder that Tina always bite the pencil that I gave her so I took it back...
did u come up with the drawings title? or angel explained to you what she draw??
all of it is like an artist work *hehe*
Well done Angel ! Her drawing is awesome and the title that you created is match with the drawing. Creative drawing and title ;p
I found Natalie don't like drawing but she like singging :)
Angel's doodles sure is nice leh.. no longer a doodle, it's a piece of art! wow, u kept n labelled each of them. my ethan's water art work is somewhere in the house.. but dunno where.. must go find it n keep it n label it! :)
I think the free style looks more happening and cheerful than color within lines lah.. hahahahaaa
MummyGwen, thank you thank you :)
Fussy mum, thanks dear :)
Yugene, thanks for your birthday wish for little Angel *hugs*
Kristie, thanks :)
Sha, I think kids all ages can start crayons but then, have to be all the time with them (just in case younger kids will eat the crayons) and also remember to wash their hands everytime after drawings lo as most crayons stated is for 3 years old and above. But as long as someone is watching over them, why not? I think doodling is a good activities for kids. But then your tina will bite the pencils ah ….. And if you were worried about the crayons, why not trying to get her a doodling board (those you can erase by pulling the strip on the board itself)? Then you will be more worry free? But then that one is black and white la and the colour one will be more expensive.
- my Angel also was thinking to bite the crayons when I first gave it to her but then, now she knows that it can’t be putting into her mouth already but I still watch her closely just in case she try to eat them la. So always look at the label which says ‘toxic free’.
2ma, Only the first one Angel told me what’s in her drawings. The rest I just try to put a name for them so it’s easier for me to know which piece is which coz they looks almost the same to me :)
Ping, thanks Yen Ping :D Natalie likes singing? You try to upload her singing video leh, so interested to see her singing la. Angel also loves singing but she can’t sing well yet, singing is all flat in tone still, kekeke
Merryn, thanks …. Ya by labeling them, now I know which art piece is which surprisingly (most of them la). At the beginning I am really having a hard time figuring out which is which and which one I have posted up and which one is the newest …. Can’t wait to see little Ethan’s art work too and you start him with water colour? Wow ….. not messy? I have bought her the water colour and finger paint too but too lazy to start her with that as I am so afraid of the aftermath :P
Agnes, ya …. I feels the same way too :) High five!
Cute.. ;-)
Great job Angel...
She managed to descripe to you all about her masterpiece???? Clever girl! By the way she's holding her crayons, the intensity and all that, I see that she is a very serious person.. Am I right?
And I saw a yellow grasshopper in the 3rd pic lei.... *lol*
Wah, all the art work comes with interesting name. Not bad ah!
Serene, you mean not bad is the drawing <<---- by Angel
or
The title <<----- by mommy???
Kekekekeke ...... Hope you like them :)
Esmeralda, hahahaha …. No la, she only tells me what it was in the first piece and the rest, I am just guessing / create some name for it :)
- Eerrrrr … what do you mean by serious person and how to identify whether she is a serious person?? I don’t know leh coz all the time I saw her “main main” with everything only @_@ But one thing for sure, she is a very tidy and particular person, which means all the books she took out, she will be return them to their own shelf / place after reading (of course there will be 1 or 2 exceptional case la) and also, she will want all drawers to be close nicely (i.e. no clothes sticking out, etc) and if she saw the clothes are not put properly, she will pull the drawers out and push all in before closing them up again. So far her book shelf is quite tidy (but not her toys). And if we were eating at home, she wants me to sit on my seat and daddy sit on his seat, we cannot change seat or else, there she goes crying and crying again until we change seats. I must carry my own bag ( don’t know why she will cry if she sees daddy carrying my bag) and I must be the one who is pushing her stroller. If she were to get biscuits from us when we were out shopping, “Mommy” must pass the biscuits to her and not Hubby, etc. Shopping cart must be push by mommy too if she were to sit on them …. Oh, I can write a long post for this already coz there are so many “rules” that we must follow or else, she will be crying non stop until we obey! Sigh …. What kind of kid is like that one??
Ahahahahahaha.... another coincidence, or should I say coincidences??? Ashton also a very neat n tidy person. Sometimes when I'm eushing n didn't close his wardrobe drawers properly, he will open it n close it again properly. Clothes sticking out must be put properly, and I can't leave the folded clothes on d bed - must put in2 d wardrobes! All doors must be closed properly or else he will make noise and go close himself (this happened many times with my dad whenever he's using the toilet coz he tend to leave a slight opening with the door).
Haha... talking about seats, my dad was sort of "kicked-out' from his own chair at his own hse by this naughty fellow. Usually Ashton saw my dad seats on the 3-seater sofa, so 1 day, my dad decided to sit on the normal chair since his back not so comfy, and guess what! Ashton pulled at my dad's pants and pointed him to the 3-seater sofa, asking him to seat there! When I came back,my dad complained to me... Hahahaha.... Small bully!!!
And now when he's riding on his elephant ride, he wants my hands away from the ride.... hands-free... Wonder why nowadays kids got so many rules ya?
So what happens if hubby were back late for dinner and you're dining with Angel only? Will she make a fuss?
Hehe.. I think you should blog about this 1 day!
Esmeralda, oh my .... that's a good thing or bad thing to know?? Hahahahahaha ..... so I guess our kids are the same 'gang' lah, hahaha!! But I really enjoy reading your Ashton's behaviour coz I can really so related to my little Angel at home LoL
Did you Ashton do the same like Angel too i.e. Now that she knows that the 1-seater sofa is hubby's normal seat and the 3-seater is mine, whenever he saw hubby walking to the living room, she will zoom out from no where, with speed faster then F1, then jump onto the 1 seater (hubby's seat) just 1 second before hubby does and she is sitting there very happy living hubby standing there with no seat. Then suddenly, she saw me coming out from the kitchen now, there she goes doing her 1 1/2 meter slide down from hubby's 1-seater seat and JUMP!! Sitting on my 3 seater seat (the left side where I normally sit) then pretended nothing happens and watching her TV while me standing beside of her, speechless, hahahahahaha ....... So like hubby put it, basically we are the 'invited guesses’ at home now and she is the master of the house and owns everything including hubby’s favourite TV, @_@
Came across your site from one of the mummy blogger..can't remember which... :)
Your girl sure has talent.. very intense colours she uses for her art... nice.. and I am trying out your roast pork recipe! :)
Wow... she just did that? She's really cheeky lar... Hehe... Ashton still haven't got the idea of stealing seats yet... but just dunno why he wanna be so particular with his grandpa at his house lar... :P What happens if you just sit at hubby's seat, and vice versa? Will she make noise? Can you explain - will she listen?
Hi A gift from God, thanks for visiting and do share the outcome of your roasted pork with us ya :)
Esmeralda, If we were to switch seats, she will make noise asking us to sit where we suppose to sit and refuse to eat la, then if we ignore her, it will soon turn out to be real cry and there it goes again, no peace during dinner time. Of course she won’t listen, we have tried ……. sometimes I think she is really stubborn and particular about things. Anyway, I will try to explain to her if I noticed that she can understand us well enough la coz at this moment, I noticed that she understand half half only so talking to her (especially explaining certain things) is no use.
Yeah... agreed.. wasting our saliva and effort if they only understand half half!
Esmeralda, have you started to feel that you are talking to him repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat ….. until you really feel like out of breathe so far??? I started to have this kind of feelings these pass few months?? She is getting stubborn …. Don’t know was it a sign of starting her terrible 2? Oh no ..... but for AShton still 2 more months to go la :)
Same here... sometimes I need to get away from him just for few seconds else I'll start lashing on him lor... so everytime I'm about to "burst", I'll quickly go somewhere else for a while (ie kitchen, toilet) then come back to him. Else I think that I'll lost my temper at him... He's also starting to show more fussiness than usual, and more stubborn too... The terrible 2? What's that? Yup Ashton is turning 2 real soon...
Yes, I can spot the Mickey Mouse black ears..hehe.
Is good that Angel loves to draw. Who knows, she will become a successful artist when she grows up.
Esmeralda, Hahahaha ….. that’s a good way too. Normally when this happens, I will just sit there making this very ‘hopeless’ looks and look down on the floor and give her a big ‘sigh’ sound (and make sure she hears them, the big sigh really can help release some of my anger too surprisingly!!) …. Luckily it still works on her and she will quickly come over and look at me making this pity noise as if asking me what happened ….. hahaha. Then sometimes if she feels unhappy, she will do the same look and give me a big ‘sigh’ too, LoL so funny. Luckily I didn’t show my anger to her and always try to control, control and control my anger or else when she does the same, you’ll know where she gets that from. And surprisingly, I think she is not that ‘hot tempered’ as compare to when she was born leh …….. and I am glad :)
So what’s your plan for Ashton’s big number 2 soon???
Joanne, wow …. I think you are the first one who can spot the mickey’s ears, good job :) Artist ah?? Hahahaha ….. as long as she is happy :)
I think different ppl have different ways of 'channeling' their anger in certain ways... what's important is the method works! :D
Wow...! Angel is such a caring child ya! She knows how to be concern about her mummy... so sweet lar... Haha... don't expect that from Ashton... even if I cry out loud/sigh or showing a "sour-face" he also dun care... the only thing he will response is when I laugh! *sigh* So funny! I think now Angel starts to imitate you already lar - CUTE!
Good that Angel not that hot-tempered as before... does she have lots of tantrums like if she wants something, she must get it real quicky? I'm having some problem in this area with Ashton... he wants everything fast...else he will make lots of noise till I gave up! *sigh*
Hmmm.. his big 2? No idea yet coz I'm not a "happening-person"... so if you would ask me, I would say just family dinner with his grandparents, cake, the normal stuffs.... Hubby suggested holding it at McD's, but I refused as no point since he don't understand the fun there, and besides, he (and we) will be having junk food then!
Esmeralda, ya … same here with Angel la, got a lot of tantrums and also want things quick and if I don’t do that quick enough, she is not just making noise, she would cry and scream normally :( And all the time, she is very stubborn too (i.e. when she wants it, she really wants it and only it :)
Actually I totally share the same view as you in terms of having birthday parties too. High 5. Then in the big day, I am also very lazy to layan all of them la so might as well just having a simple dinner with family members and we as parents can enjoy as well. Maybe wait until they are older and will appreciate what a birthday party and have his own friends then only held a kids party for them, nice isn’t it? But of course before that, must see can find a helper to help out or not or else, we will be the maid while everybody enjoys LoL
Is it ar? Nobody see that Mickey Mouse ears? Is quite easy to spot wor. Hehe.
Yalor, as long as Angel is happy then ok lah...
Talking about shouting and screaming, Ashton started that too already just these few days. When we dun give him something that he wants, he will sort of shout and scream... *sigh* How come kids are like that nowadays? And his temper is also beginning to show already. He will do the 'helicopter spin' on the floor at home if he dun get wat he wants - usually, he will get the 'rubber-band-gift' from me.. :D
Yalor... I dun agree with organising parties at home coz it's so messy... and in the end we have to pack. I rather do it outside and have other ppl to pack for us... yup, wait till they have frens then they'll enjoy...
Esmeralda, maybe Ashton is going through a new stage coz Angel has been through and still in that stage since few months back. If they do that mean they are ‘growing up’ well enough :) Ya … I just put it that way so I feels better and have more patients with Angel :) If you give Ashton the rubber band, won’t he cry more and throw tantrums even more? Angel would :(
Yeah.. mayb it's the growing up phase.
When I gave him the rubber band, he's very afraid of it and will try to run away/hide his hands behind his back so that I can't hit him. Of coz he will cry a little while, but when I tell him again if he dun behave, he will get another round of it, he will just obey lar - just for a while I think. Throw tantrums? Not much yet.. *fingers crossed* Angel will get worst if you beat her? Maybe u need to explain to her why u r beating her, and tell her that if she behave, she won't get it?
Esmeralda, I do hope she will understand what I say soon :)
