Having Fun With Stickers

Angel loves playing with stickers so much from the first day that I let her exercised her little fingers and imaginations with those cute little stickers. She absolutely loves it and always looking forward to her 5 – 10 minutes of pure sticker fun time whenever I have the time to do it with her. Through this activity, she gets to refine her fine motor skills and improved her pasting abilities while having so much fun at the same time. Furthermore, I think it helps to enhance her sense of shapes, positioning and also creativity while acquiring new vocabulary too.

It’s absolutely fun watching her making her own master piece out of those cute little stickers and she just can’t wait to gets her hands on another few more pages :) For mommies who love to have this type of stickers for their little ones, a lot of similar stickers activities booklet can be easily found in various good bookstores (e.g. Popul*ar, MP*H, Border*s, etc) with lots of options to choose from too. I just simply love doing this kind of fun activities with my little Angel because not just she is having so much fun, me and even hubby is having such a good time watching her doing her little creations while spending a quality playtime with her too :)

Nicole, the one in the picture I bought from Bangkok but that day I went to Popu*lar and Borders and MP*H MV and bought a lot of the same kind of sticker books too leh. You go to the kids section and sure you will see one. Actually besides this, there are also re-useable sticker one la, magnet stickers la, …… a lot a lot a lot etc but of course price much more expensive. I yet to explore my re-usable and magnet one with Angel and once I start to explore them, I will share here again.

Judy, Ya …. I think such sticker book can be easily found in any bookstore so have fun then :)

Serene, the one in the pix I bought from Bangkok, very expensive RM25 per book few pages only but I also bought a lot of the same sticker book from Popu*lar and MP*H MV for under RM10 only. Ya …. I think this sticker type of stickers is very good, better then let Angel stick all the stickers on the table and floor, hahahaha. You place got the books store I mention or not?

Agnes, Angel also the same as Chloe last time when we got the stickers from McDonalds, kids are all the same :) …… but with this one, she didn’t mess up wor coz it has it has it’s own activities ma.

PeiWun, sometimes after sticking the stickers, she wants to peel it off too …… but now the stickers also very ‘canggih’ already leh, even got magic tape and magnet one. Will share on that once I start another activities with her :)

Oh.. I didn't know that kids at Angel's age can really paste the stickers in the sticker book! I've never tried that with Ashton. Maybe I'll get one for him and see what happens.... Hehehe... Thanks Caroline..

MommyAngel said...

Anggie, nope …. The stickers which I got cannot be taken out after use but they do have other books which is re-usable stickers too. I have got few but yet to explore with it. Maybe later after I have explore it :)

Nicole, you are welcome :)

Esmeralda, you are welcome Esmeralda, actually kids nowadays are so smart leh. I have few puzzle which I bought for Angel and surprisingly she manage to ‘master’ them within few days.

Doreen, stick on tiles? Re-useable is good leh.

Irene, ya …. Quick go grab few books coz I think most mommies will also be looking for it leh :) Good luck and have fun ya :)

Lybil, oh .. I think Sethy will do fine with it leh coz I think no one is more naughtier then Angel but yet, she can do it in the proper way leh :) Does your place have a good book store?

Cath, ya …. I think that’s a good activities for our little ones :)

Mummy Gwen, oh …. If you look closely, I think you can noticed that some ‘animal’ were not suppose to be lying like that one, hahahaha ….. yup, the one I got is pretty expensive but I think it’s good. Actually those sold in our book stores are very cheap compare to the one I got wor which is good :) I think Gwen will love it :)

JT, you like it too? Are you thinking to let Sarah explore with that?

Esmeralda said...

Puzzles? Did I hear wrongly? What kind of puzzles are that? Mind to share in your blog? I can't believe kids that young can do puzzles (or am I that out-dated already?)

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, not the 50 or 100 piece puzzle that we adults play la, hahahaha ..... the puzzle is like matching pairs, matching the head to the body for 20 kinds of animals, etc ......... that's not as difficult as it seems right?

Hhmmm... when talking about puzzle, I think I have bought those 10 piece puzzle as well as the 3D's puzzle, maybe I can try on her also hor.

Kristie said...

i loved to do this too when i was young! will definitely do it with jayden, so fun :)

Esmeralda said...

Oh.. there is such puzzle for kids? Hmm... I might not have been toy shopping recently. Where did u buy those? U've stocked up quite a lot toys & puzzles for Angel? Lucky her. Where did u get all the place to keep them? I'm scratching my head to find places to keep his forth-coming new toys (if there's any) so that the house will not look messy... *sigh* so I seldom shop for his toys now..

MommyAngel said...

Kristie, ya …. I think pretty soon, you might be able to do that with little Jayden. You know, kids really grow up so fast!!

Esmeralda, most of my educational toys I got it either in KL or Bangkok including the kids puzzle. Not really stock up la coz sometimes when I found something useful, I will buy first or else, I might not remembered where I saw it already :) I have not been so keen to buy toys for her lately, now shifting to puzzle and books, all sorts of books. Oh … don’t worry about place to keep them coz I have shift all those baby toys back to my mom’s place. She always bug me to brought those back coz afraid that I might give it to someone else / throw them away coz she loves all of them especially little Angel’s baby outfit, hahahaha …..
- oh …. But your house got another room for Ashton right? Why not turn that into Ashton’s play room then you will have ample place to store them + the house will not look messy too, kekekeke … good idea huh? Esmeralda, I think we are the same ‘type’ of person la. I just can’t stand seeing toys lying all over the floor, not even 1 single piece of puzzle or anything after Angel naps / sleep at night la, hahahaha ….. can you?

Esmeralda said...

You are right Caroline. I can't stand mess in the house. Haha.. you mean you shipped most of Angel's toys & bb clothes to your mum's??? Wow... your mum's house must be crowded then.. Haha... Too bad I can't stand mess in my hse or my mum's too.. hehe.. otherwise, I can shift the mess there.. kekekeke... Well, actually the other room is my hubby's workstation, and the other is Ashton's room, but didn't put the toys there lar coz the room is quite dark and only have one window... ventilation wise, not too good as a play area. But it's a good idea to store the toys... Hehe... Maybe I should just follow suit - start buying puzzles & books for him, but he just love to 'read' my pregnancy & bb mags coz there got lots of bb pics!

Joanne said...

The sticker book u bought for Angel is so nice, she is quite good in 'sticking' le, she can place the sticker at the right place, so clever...

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, hahaha .... ya, my mom's place is so crowded now but she always manage to put them all into her 5 big wardrobes, don't know how she does that but she did it :)

Joanne, ya .. I think it's nice too. Actually I did couch Angel a bit where to stick them for the fish one and the rest, she just do it as she likes :)

Esmeralda said...

Wow.. ur mum's wardrobes are sure super big.. 5 wardrobes some more? Can buy some more again! Hehehe...

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, oh .... when you have so many kids then out of a sudden got married or not living with her anymore, so you can imagine how many extra space she has now :)

Esmeralda said...

Oh.. you have many siblings ya??/

MommyAngel said...

Not that many lah ... Do Re Mi lor ..... but for me consider a lot already la, hahahaha ..... I can't imagine myself with another "Re" at this moment still, cannot cope at all!! You??

Esmeralda said...

Haha.. so funny!

Well, of coz also can't cope lar.. maybe hv to wait till they grow up a bit.. hehehe..

MommyAngel said...

You can still wait la coz you are still young, me ah ... cham lah!!! So planning for the 2nd one soon?

Esmeralda said...

Well if you ask me, I would love to have one soon, but maybe the earliest would be next year lar coz this year is a busy year for us... hehehe...

It's good to complete our family before we reach 35 - my gynae's advice!

So are you planning any soon?

Mummy In Vain said...

eh, nice leh.....i like this kind of activity too. i did bought a sticker picture dictionary for my boy, but ended up pasting the stickers on his little bike! ;p

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, ya … I think before 35 is a must but hubby is so stubborn to believe the doctor (although I have told him every disadvantage of giving birth after 35) coz her mom conceive him much later then that @_@ Well, actually I am more then happy to have only 1 Angel but … let’s see first la coz hubby wants more but don’t want to have 1 now, sometimes the ‘perfect time’ seems to be ‘yesterday’ or ‘tomorrow’ but not today!!!

Mummy In Vain, hahahaa ….. he paste it in his bike which means he really loves his bike leh. I think I would paste in on the bike as well coz it’s must prettier then pasting in the book itself :)

Esmeralda said...

Well.. Men sometimes don't understand what we women have to go thru Caroline.. That's why... What our mums can do during their time doesn't mean that we can do in this advancing world where lots of complications can occur... Well, we can still conceive after 35, but the problem is do you want to take the risk?

Haha.. of coz with Angel you've been really preoccupied already though.. Perfect timing is a prob - even for us here...

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, ya ..... What you said is correct, but sometimes really hard to make them understand too. Well, I will give it a few months time and see how things went la. But do you think that 3 years was a big gap for siblings?

Esmeralda said...

I don't think that 3 years is just a big gap, actually it's quite perfect if I come to think about it, as Angel will be 2 years plus liao, and she can understand and behave well. My brother and I - the gap is 5 yrs lar!

Good luck.. and hope to hear good news from you soon.. ;)

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

I extremely like stickers. Did I told you that I have a stickers collection. I will definitely let Sarah explore with this activity.

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, same to you too :)

JT, ya .... I know you love stickers a lot and me too. I always wanna asked you what type of stickers do you prefer and in your collection? Any special characters? I know you hate Garfield, hahahaha....

Linda said...

Those sticker books are published by Kumon, i got the same one, RM19.90 from popular. Kumon also have lots of other activities book. I think it's bit pricy, but the quality is very nice.

Since then i got lots of different types of stickers book for my daughter for under RM10 each. Now, i think she is not very interested in stickers anymore.

MommyAngel said...

Linda, thanks for the info but I didn’t manage to find it here in KL, too bad :( But I agrees with you, those books were good although a bit pricey! Oh … your is not interested in the stickers book already? Maybe bored with it now since she is playing with that all the time. I do hope my daughter will not get bored of it so fast because I still have many of it in my cupboard, fingers crossed :)

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Caroline, you also know I love to collect stickers? Ooo, did I mentioned to you before? Hehe.
For me, I love all type of stickers, cartoon, stickers that only contain words and etc...As long as I think it is unique and something that not found in my album, then I will buy it.
- Seems like alot of mommies know I hate garfield ya.

MommyAngel said...

JT, ya ... I know you love stickers coz I love to collect stickers too and last time we use to chat about it in MP forum!

Hahaha .... ya, I think most of us knows you hate Garfield but I think the cat looks silly but cute!! :P

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Caroline,
I think I am getting old already. Or else how come I cant recall that we both did chat about stickers in forum.

MommyAngel said...

JT, Hahahaha ..... not that you are old already, you have chat with so many mommies and of course you can't remember all of them la :P It's ok and now you know :)
