Suddenly Angel is not only getting possessive over her belongings but also, she seems to be reluctant to share her food as well lately especially those food that she absolutely loves. Some parenting books did point out that this behaviour and being possessive is what a 2 year old would go through and would evolved through practice and maturity and hence at this stage, I will not be too worried about her actions but instead, hoping to constantly stressing the word “sharing” and finding way to help her understand the wonderfulness of ‘sharing’ part and not all of what she has hoping that one day, it will mean something to her.
Quoted:
- Model sharing and use the word “Share”. “Would you like to share my cookie?”
- Break up fights by removing the object of debate and moving the kids onto something else: “The car needs to take a rest now. Want to blow some bubbles?”
- Casually point out big kids you see sharing.
- Hide favourite toys when other kids come to play. Twos shouldn’t be expected to let others use things they’re strongly attached to.
- Provide activities for playdates that involved a shared activity that each child can do on her own, like playing with clay or drawing pictures.
- Praise your child when sharing does happen. Positive reinforcement is a terrific teacher.”

Hey, my girls were like that too when they were Angel's age. Kids are all the same. But at least she still gave that small bit to you :)
Haha~~ really tiny bit~~~~~~~ Well, at least she did share with you...
hahahaha..she's funny to give you that lil bit. She loves it too much to give you a bigger piece :) thanks for the info abt sharing.
That tiny bit is still considered as sharing mah..hehe. So cute. :P
thanks for sharing.. I am sure Angel will be able to share soon.. :D
haha... that tiny weeny piece... I will certainly reject that and demand a bigger piece... haha or I will pretend to show my unhappy face....
I hope my girl can finish her food and not sharing too much... my ziyi is just too skinny...
Glad to see you back... I miss Angel... :)

Haiyaaa.... miss to see Angel's face again...
LOL. That tiny bit of cake must be the yummiest mommy has ever had! :P
mebe becoz I still feed ethan n he is not fully self feeding, he still shares because he role play. He'll take the food and feed us just as we always fed him. I think it will come later to him the possesiveness...
Angel's came early coz she so clever, started self feeding at such an early age!
Thanks for sharing Caroline. You know, I noticed Xixi has the same problem too lately. By the way, I can see Angel has a new hair style? Very cute of her.. Weather must be cold over there, take care!
Haha... so cute... little bit also considered sharing ya!
My kids are like that too; no sharing unless they're full already, then they'll say "come, I share with you" :-)
wow, that is indeed a "big" piece of cake! *haha* just be glad that she shared! size doesnt matter here :D
that little gesture (though truly tiny) shows she loves YOU!! 'Cos to learn what is 'Theirs' is important at this stage. Hence to give you means you are indeed important to her.
Without learning what is possession, how would sharing begin?
Without owning something, how can one give?
*Smile*
Hahah... so tiny!
My boy will only share his food to the person/people he likes or when he's in the mood... :)
Haha...at least she still share with you even a tiny piece.
Thanks for sharing ways to teach our child on sharing.
So 'tiny' but that is Angel's 'big' sharing already :) kinda of cute :):)
She is cute enough...you should be proud of her because she still have the sense of sharing..not like my Habibati. She would cry bucket if I snap her foodie..! But our son Habibi is ok...heheee
A lovely girl in deed...*hugs*
