Mission Impossible …. Accomplished! [Back dated]

It’s nice to be back again and of course, a lot of unpacking to do which is really killing me ….. oh, the house looks like nobody lives in it for ages. I wonder how hubby can stand the mess in the house for soooo long! Sigh ……. Men!!

Well, ‘Mission Impossible, all alone this round’ wasn’t that impossible after all. I really couldn’t remember how I survive our first flight after getting up at 4am but I did! At least I did not have a heart attack in the airport when I found out that Angel is doing this (refer picture below) when I was busy picking up my luggage from the other luggage belt when we landed! I made my 100 meters run to get her of course to get her down from there and there goes my luggage unclaimed which I have to wait for the 2nd round. Surprisingly, Angel recognised it’s my luggage and she actually wanted to reach for it when she saw my luggage appear in front of her :)

Look Mommy Look!!! *OMG*

And also, when Angel was in the airport toilet with me, she started to developed another naughty behaviour which kids loves to do - bend down with both hands on the DIRTY toilet floor and peep outside or to the neighbouring cubicles @~@ I hope that she didn’t scare anybody from the next toilet when the person saw a pair of eyes was looking at her from down beneath before I could pull my girl away. *So Sorry* And while I was busy looking for tissues in my bag for few seconds, suddenly I noticed that she has found herself a new toy from no where and started to examine it ………….. and when I take a closer look, O-M-G, she is holding onto someone’s USED sanitary pad loaded with blood stain which she grabs from the dustbin beside me, EEEEUUUUUWWWW …….. *I nearly pengsan* which I scream out so loud in the toilet and washed her hand over and over again which she scream like mad of course. I really cannot take my eyes off her for a second, can I??

Also, I manage to find a less crowded spot in the airport where Angel could run more freely (hoping to exhausted her a little before boarding again) without afraid being knock down by the fast moving passengers and trolleys while waiting for our next flight. She was so happy and would run so fast across the hall then run back to me while shouting “MAMI~~!!!!! MAMI~~!!!!” with her nearly fall down speed and pose, my heart was going up and down whenever I see her doing her ‘crazy and clumsy’ run but somehow, she always managed to ‘stabilise’ herself from falling by moving her legs faster, picking up her ‘speed’ and supported her lean-forward-ready-to-fall body eventually. She is such an active toddler and I hope I can still catch up with her in few more years.

Or course she has been very active on the plane and refuse to put on her seat belt or carrying by me at first but after much hard work, I managed to strap the crying baby down on her seat belt with a bottle of milk after the stewardess give me unhappy look (who actually did sound her off once) when she saw that Angel couldn’t sit still in her seat for the entire 3 hours journey (she will know how hard it is to get kids sitting in one place for long hours without making a move one day :) ). There was once Angel was so cranky that I have to give in by offering her few sip of my PEPSI to make her sit still and it works :) So Pepsi really save our day!!! She even refuses to eat her Heinz biscuits and demand for my Nasi Lemak which I finally have to give in and ordered her another portion of chicken rice ….. but all the colouring books, pen and papers, new toys, snacks+fruits, doodling board, song singing and of course the ‘Mr. Bean Movie’ really is a life saver for me for the entire journey.

Left: Being strapped down with a bottle of milk
Right: Watching Mr. Bean in the airport

Although it’s very tiring but I am glad that I still have a very happy baby who enjoyed her expeditions as well as a very happy mommy with a smile on the face still at the end of our long long journey :) Mission impossible accomplished!!! *Phew*

good job mommy :D I don't know if I can do it or not...hehehe. Anyway, the stewardess should be more understanding. It's not very professional to show you an unhappy face. Let's hope next time she'll have to handle 2 active kids alone on a long flight...hahaha

Give yourself a pat, you make it and you manage it well too...I don't think many can do it with a active toddler along and also need to look after luggage, this and that.

I'm sure you are more experience next round and by that time Angel will be more easy to handle.

Have a good rest and unpacking..once you free, pls collect your award here.

Merryn, my kampung very far one, in Sabah :)

Mummy Moon, hahahaha ….. ya, not easy at all when the kid I am handling is my naughty Angel :P

Mummy Gwen, I also almost pengsan when I saw that she is holding the USED sanitary napkin LoL Ya, she loves watching Mr. Bean so much that she will giggle throughout the movie, hahahahaha.

Linda, hahahaha …. Keng leh, can still snap picture during my mission impossible :P But that’s basically the only few piece of pix that I took la so it really is priceless to me :)

Agnes, Thank you so much dear :)

Julie, she sure is one active girl but sometimes, I am glad that she is active too coz if she wasn’t, I would be worried I guess :)

Mummy Ryan, I miss you and Ryan too, will visit your blog soon :)

PeiWun, Thanks thanks dear ….. I also couldn’t believe that I have made it finally :)

Mummy To Chumsy, oh trust me, when the time comes, you will manage to handle it finally.
- As for that particular stewardess, can see that she don’t really like her job and she was acting more like a ‘disciplinary teacher’ to all the passenger on board rather then a stewardess serving the passenger. The way she talks to other passenger also like giving and order rather then asking politely …. She is pretty young though.
- Hahahaha … your last phrase is simply what’s in my mind too …. Opppppssss ….. kekekekeke

Judy, thanks for the award dear …..

Yugene, Hahahaha …… I am wiping sweat even until now when I think back :) Ya lor, I still manage to snap pictures at that time leh but that’s basically all the pictures which I took for the entire journey la.

HN, I am glad that I did that finally too :) I do hope that you won’t have to be in my shoe one day but I guess if you have to, your little boy will be more easier to handle gua??

Mummy To Qiqi, thanks thanks thanks …. Ya, can’t believe I did it finally :)

Ooppsss... I thought I've posted a comment few days back.

Oh well, here goes again:
Welcome back Caroline & Angel. I believe it's indeed an adventure and great experience for both of you ya!

I can't believe it when I saw Angel on the conveyer belt lar. She's really a dare-devil-angel. Luckily the conveyer belt is not moving!

Angel.. you really can scare the wits of your mummy ya... Used sanitary napkins? Gosh... If I were you, maybe I'll wash her hands with lots and lots of soaps and water... soaps-water-soaps-water-soaps-water-soaps-water till I'm satisfied that it's really clean already... My my...

She really loves playing in the spacious airport compound ya? I believe if it was Ashton, he will only play when we play along with him - his 'airplane-game'... Otherwise, I think he will stick to me as usual...

Talking about safety belts on the plane, Ashton didn't want to wear them as well. On our last flights, he won't give in to the safety belt on his chest, so we took off with him seat-belt-less. Thank God everything was OK... We also entertained him in the plane with his portable DVD player, but now the player needs to be buried already-most likely since it won't work without the plug in. So it's no longer portable anymore. :( That's a really cool and compact DVD player you have there. Mind to tell me what's the brand, and how much did you buy it? Thinking of getting another player for Ashton.

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, thanks dear :)

Ya .... I really can’t take my eyes off her for even one second. Luckily the conveyer belt is not in use that time.

Can see that Ashton is becoming more obedient now as he will stick to you in public places which is good. I can’t imagine Angel will ever be that obedient coz she really likes to run and run and run .... wonder where she gets all the energy from.

Hahahaha ..... how come the portable player ‘hangkang’ so fast? I thought that’s a good brand? As for the one which Angel is watching in the picture, it’s not a portable player, it’s my handphone la, kekekeke ...

Esmeralda said...

He is 'obedient' when there's a crowd, when there's no crowd and with ppl that he knows, he will climb to ppl's back (wic he did to my bro) like a rocking chair. Haha.. Angel is super-active..

Yup that DVD player is almost 'hangkang' already coz he usually will disturb that and use it to be his "DJ-tool", or even dropping it last time when he was a bit younger. That's why! Hehe.. you really got a cool hp there lar.. btw, what model is that? Can it play movies?

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, oh ... So Ashton really very close to your brother ya :) Angel starts to climb onto hubby’s back as if he was a tree too, hahahaha ... I can imagine Ashton on your bro’s back :)

Now I know why your DVD player doesn’t last longer, hahahaha ... so did your DVD player (the one connecting to your tv) at home still surviving??? The phone in the picture is Nokia N95 8G. Yup, it can play movies too if you downloaded the movie into the phone (Angel is watching Mr. Bean Go Holiday in the picture). Very clear just like a small screen TV :)

Esmeralda said...

Ashton in the first place is scared of my bro since he only seen him few times - he's in KL previously. But now, he's clost liao. Not scared, and dare to disturb him some more...

My DVD player in the living room almost 'hangkang' also. Instead of slotting the VCD/DVD and placing it on the right place, he slotted it thru the opening (if u understand what I'm talking about) inside to the empty space of the slot, so the player is stuck, can't close liao. I really have to shake the whole player and try to get the VCD/DVD out lei... Luckily the player got longer life-span..

Oh yeah.. that's really a good hp u got. Angel will not disturb by pressing any buttons? I've shown Ashton some videos too (of him) on my hp, but he kept pressing and kept making calls to ppl till I have lots of ppl calling me back! *sigh*

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, hahahaaha, poor DVD player in your house! But I am glad that it still working well, on contrary, Angel won’t do that to our DVD player (thanks God) or else, I will be very very mad :P

Of course Angel will be pressing my hp when she is watching the DVDs so I have to remind her that I will take that away if she presses them again which I did for numerous of time already. As for hubby’s and my mom’s handphone, she knows she can mess with them so constantly, she will sent sms to my mom’s friend or make calls to hubby’s friend which they were use to it already. She even deleted a lot of pictures and other stuffs from my mom’s handphone but she just keep giving her phone to Angel just to keep her occupied. Even the key pad is locked she seems know how to unlock them pretty easily too. For me I will not let her mess with my handphone lo :)

Esmeralda said...

Lucky you that Angel won't play wit the DVD player at home.

Talking about warning, no matter how many times I warned him that I'm gonna take something away if he disobey, he won't listen or tend to be ignoring me! *sigh*

Your girl really know who's hp she can mess with ya. Ashton messes with everyone's hp just like no one's business... Clever angel, can unlock the hp some more! *clap clap*

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, maybe he is not ready to take warnings yet coz obviously he still don't understand you and the consequences yet :) Or else like Angel, now she has started to take our warning more seriously "most of the time" coz if not, she knows she will have to stand at her not so favourite corner again :P

I think to unlock the phone is pretty simple leh, just keep pressing and it'll hit the unlock key eventually :)

Esmeralda said...

I think so. I hope that he will be able to take instructions/orders soon. Haha.. cute Angel... her not-so-good corner ya..

Well, some phones not easy to unlock lei...

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, sure your time will come soon :) Ashton is 2 years old now, big boy already :)

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Welcome back. Sorry for being late in giving my comment here.

Woooo....Angel was on the conveyor belt? It was not moving ya? Nobody stop her?

Ai yoh, I can imagine the mess and dirty of what Angel done in the toilet? Really make you pengsan hor..:-)

Why the stewardess so unprofessional!! What has she done actually?
If me, I will make a complaint to her superior.

Irene said...

well done wor! mommy keng!

MommyAngel said...

Joanne, ya .... luckily the conveyour belt is not in use, no one saw her doing that actually coz everyone is busy with something :)
- Yes .... that particular stewardess is not so friendly that day, actually that time Angel starts to be cranky and keep making noise wants me to carry her so that stewardess is unhappy to see her cannot sit still like us adults so she came over and very seriously asked her to sit properly and don't make a move lo :(

Irene, hahahaha ..... *wipe sweat*

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Sometimes kids just do not know that they are performing some dangerous act. So scary watching her doing that.

Ai yo, why the stewardess was so angry. I mean, you were not asking her to take care of Angel at the flight mah.

MommyAngel said...

Joanne, I guess some adults don't really like kids gua until one day they have become a parent themselves :)
