Doodles ....... On Her Face?

That is what happened when I took my eyes off her for a few minutes …… I have been trying to search for a solution for this but can’t seems to find any resort to that yet so I was wondering …… Is there any BALL-POINT PEN in the market which is washable / erasable just in case that she drew them on the walls / books / her shirt or herself again?

I know washable marker pens but ballpoint pen, I'm not sure. The washable marker pens I bought for Gwen is from ELC at Sunway Pyramid. Gwen is one funny gal, she would sream and cry if there's a slight marker stain on her hands..hahaha. *slap forehead*

Should I say "high-5" to Angel from Ashton? Hehe.. that's what he did last time when he got hold of the ball-point pen. He even doodled on almost the inside of him ear. *slap forehead*

So did u manage to clean it up for her? If Ashton were to see the slightest pen marks on his hands or other visible parts of his body, he will make noise till I clean it up for him. Did Angel reacted when she saw the pen ink on her face?

I've never came across washable pens/markers, but would it be better if you were to give her pencil instead? Of coz, those durable pencils that the tips won't break-off easily... I've let Ashton use the pencil when he just wanna doodle... Coz pencils if he doodle on the wall, still can erase with the eraser... ;)

Merryn, oh .. you saw it ya? Then I must look harder for those pen!

JT, The pen was the one I taught her how to write some words in that morning but I forgot to keep them.

Mummy Gwen, Hahahaha …. Angel would do the same too so she don’t do it on her hands, she did in on her face but she don’t noticed them but once she saw her face in the mirror, she don’t dare to look at herself and straight away lie on my shoulder, hahahaha … so funny! I have the washable markers too but they tends to get dry pretty easily if I let her use it everyday. Oh …. Thanks for your info ya :)

YenPing, The pen was the one I taught her how to write some words in that morning but I forgot to keep them. Ya …. I manage to wipe them away using some wet tissues too but I am just worried that she will do it on her books/ on the walls @_@

Agnes, not that hard to wipe it off her face actually but on the wall … I am not too sure about that :) You mean Chloe never done that before?? What a obedient little girl she is ….. ya lor, Angel always sweat so much during the days but just her head wor. Even she sleeps in the air con room she will also have sweat on her head but her body is not hot at all! Really strange …. Sometimes her hair is so wet as if she just come back from a swim!!

Judy, I am worried about the destination of my walls and sofa and her books now so that’s why I am trying to find the washable ball point pen and do a SOS post here :) Oh …. Really cannot imagine if that happens!

Doreen, pencils I am a bit worried about the lead issues ….. :( Oh thanks .... but I think it's a bit too 'messy' and 'flowery', don't you think so? But that's the best I can do .. for the mean time :)

Esmeralda, @_@ I think Angel was about to doodle inside her ears too but luckily I spotted her doing that so she has no chance :) Kids are like that la … I think maybe it really feel nice when the roller ball is rolling across your face or something hor.
-Ya …. I manage to clean it up pretty easily with the wet wipes actually but not those on my sofa and her shirt. Angel would also fuss when I didn’t clean her hands well too and when I saw her face to her in the mirror, I think she was horrified and then lie straight down on my shoulder and refuse to look at the mirror no matter how I coax her to, hahaha …. Very funny!!

- I came across washable colour markers but not roller ball point pen! But markers wouldn’t last very long especially kept in open air I think. No …. I think giving her the pencil is not a good idea la (just my opinion la) coz
1) she can even break the tip of the pen by hitting the pen tip onto the paper so hard – to make her little dots LoL, imagine if I were to give her a pencil @_@
2) pencil was made of lead and that will bound to have some residual behind on the papers / hands so I am afraid that those lead might get stuck on her hands where I am not able to see them / clean them properly. At least with ink, I can see where are those marks and wash them properly. Maybe I will leave those pencils until she is older enough to understand that it’s for writing and not to be eaten :) Hahaha …. Told you I am a clean freak! :P

Esmeralda said...

Haha.. cute girl. She even know how to be horrified with her own look.

Have you tried using some "minyak kapak" to clean the sofa stains? Sometimes it works though!

I know... I've recently bought Ashton some giant pencil colours, and the same thing happened. He knocked the colour pencils on the table like playing a drum, and the tip broke. Now the colours I kept already. As you said, it's really difficult to clean up the mess of the broken leads. But I was lucky with the pencil (maybe it wasn't sharpened at all coz the tip like wanna finish liao) hehehe... so no broken lead (*fingers crossed*). Hehe.. our clean-freak standard can fight lar! High 5!

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, Minyak kapak to clear those stains? Hhhhmmm ..... Never try before leh but thanks for the into, will try it out when it happens again which I hope not :P

High five for being a clean freak, kekeke ...... Not that I want to be one but sometimes just can’t help it :P I think colour pencil is still ok, but when it comes to the normal pencils, the writings on the paper will makes her hands so dirty on the palm area near wrist ..... Sometimes even her arms and elbow, hahahaha ... my little miss messy!!

I'm not sure whether got the washable pen on the market. But hor, same thing happened to Xixi too la.. she doodle her hands and legs.. hoohooooo....

Esmeralda said...

You're most welcome Caroline!

Oh my! She can doodle with normal pencils till her whole hands are dirty? She pressed very hard when doodling? Why not if you still hv to give her normal pencils, go with the less intensed ones like HH, HB or lighter ones?

MommyAngel said...

Mery, :P Yes, she does! Your little Ryan never done that before?

Serene, Hahahaaha …. I think kids have to do this at least once in a life time :) Xixi also doodle her hands and legs? Hahahaha!! Does she asked you to wipe clean them after that? For Angel she would and crying until I take the last spot off her hands, that really is very challenging not to even leave a mark on her hands after she ‘done the mess’

Esmeralda, oh ya, one thing I notice is that she does press really hard when she doodles coz the way she hold the pen is like ‘grabbing’ the entire pen and draw instead of holding the right way. I am still in the process of teaching her how to hold her pen. Ya …. I think HH and HB pencil will be a better choice …. thanks :P

alamak, self-paint face ah?? maybe instead of giving her a pen, u give her a magnetic board to draw?? shan leo started writing & drawing on a magnetic board

Esmeralda said...

Haha... go slow Caroline... Don't have to rush things up, just let her enjoy! ;)

MommyAngel said...

2ma, Magnetic board? I have one and she doesn't seems very interested in it. Maybe I shall get a bigger one and try :)

Esmeralda, hahahahaha .... I hope I didn't rush her :P But by holding pen the right way, I hope she doesn't get exhausted from drawings and writing. She really use all her strength to manoeuvre the pen with her hand at this moment.

Yugene, I use wet wipes to get it off :) Oh …. Hope that bb Kyle is not as naughty as Angel :)

Sha, The pen was the one I taught her how to write some words in that morning but I forgot to keep them :P Qistina never done that?
