Drawings or Doodles ?

This is Angel’s most recent 'abstract' drawings done at home and normally she would asked from me a piece of paper and her crayons when she feels that her ‘sense of creation’ is flowing like a fountain :P However, her span of concentrations is rather short I might say so normally she would have a good 10-15 minutes max and would normally do 1 piece of drawing per day only. She is very independent when it comes to her drawings, refused me to help her or coached her totally so sometimes I feel like teaching her to draw a star or a circle, she would cry and signing me to leave her alone *apalah ni*….. Hhhhmmm, is she showing her ‘artists attitude’ to me?? Kids ….. LoL Sometimes after she hurriedly finished her ‘masterpiece’, she wants me to paste it up onto our walls and sometimes she just simply drew some simple lines here and there, lazy little girl ….. but of course I paste it up to please her then take it down when she is sleeping in order for her to complete it after she wakes up :)

Also I noticed that when she is drawing, she has this strange behaviour to doodle a few lines and then gaze onto those art work that she does previously on our wall for few seconds, then start to doodle again and gaze onto her drawings few seconds again as if she brain storming or what LoL Her drawings are getting more and more and my entire walls are so packed now. I do afraid that one day I might loose her precious drawings hence decided to post it into my blog and keep it safely up here ….. I hope :) And lately she starts to do some lines and dots on her drawings but too bad, she torn all that before I manage to rescue her drawings …. So maybe next round then :) Have fun!!

I think Angel likes to draw circles, does she? I love the the first and second masterpiece the most! Good job Angel!

I wonder is this crayon will leave any stain on her hands? Mind to share what brand is it? I thought to start letting Sarah to write or draw something, but dono how to do so..

Mummy Gwen, Gwen wants you to draw for her ah? Hahahaha ..... how cute!! I didn’t get the chance to do that as yet leh coz Angel’s don’t want me to even get near her piece of drawing paper :(

Kristie, thanks ....

Mery, thank you :)

Merryn, hahaha, you are so funny la. Never mind, if that day ever comes, I will remember to ask her FOC for you la. Hope that goes the same with your Ethan’s drawing in future ya :P

JT, she starts to draw some circles then now starts to draw some straight lines. I love her first 2 drawings as well :)

- normally crayons will not leave marks on hands leh, but the one I got for her also washable one so it’s ok.

- oh, I am a huge fans of Crayola* so the range I got for her also from this particular brand. (I got them in a fair long time ago so don’t know where can find them normally)

- As a start, I think you might want to get the jumbo size crayons / colour pencils for her coz they are more suitable for small hands. As for the choice of Crayons / colour pencils it’s really up to you. I personally prefers crayons for some reasons. But I will stay with her all the time when she is drawings coz most colour pencils / crayons are meant for 3 years + so I just have to watch out whether she eats them lo. Look for “NON TOXIC” on the packaging.

- actually I have a lot of different types of colour pencils / crayons for Angel and another one is a hard crayon which will not leave residual on kids hands but then, it’s not jumbo size so not really nice to hold for small hands lo.

- then for a start, crayola also have a water colour call finger paint ..... I got that for Angel as well but didn’t get to use them yet. It’s the colour for very young kids to draw using their hands dipping in those colour as young kids don’t really know how to hold the crayons and pencils yet.

- wah .... I can go on and on about this so just grab a pack and try la. You can find a lot of colouring accessories in Tesco / Jusco / Carrefour and book stores such as MPH/ Popular, Boarders, etc. Have fun ya. Feel free to ask me if you have any question ya :)

Looks like she's very talented in drawing Caroline... The most that Ashton can stand is less than a minute!

I love the way you described her drawings, esp the one saying 'a sudden bad mood'... ;P

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, Welcome back and thanks :) Oh ... Ashton starts his drawings already ah? 1 minute is good enough coz lately Angel also didn't want to draw everyday so not much of her 'creation' these few days too. But I think drawings is a good way to release kid's tension (if they have any which I doubt) :P :P

Well, sorry I don't call it drawing.. I called it scribbling.. Haha... Yup kids that can draw is much happier I think...

MommyAngel said...

Scribbling, hahahaha .... then can show us or not? I think it will be memorable to us mommies even if they just draw a single line there :P At least for me it is :)

Ok, I will have a look at the colouring accessories the next time I go to shopping.

JT, you are welcome dear, hope I am not too long winded there ya :P Can't wait to see little Sarah's masterpiece real soon :)

Esmeralda said...

Haha... he scribbles on my magazines... my fav magazines... and he doesn't wanna scribble on the papers i gave him.. *slap head*

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, @_@ I can't imagine if Angel do that!!! hahahaha ..... that's why I always keep my mag high high above and give her a piece of paper from the beginning so until now I think she don't know that the mag can be written actually .... I guess :)

Angel really has drawing talent. Tell you what, I let Xixi explore on color pencil before, but ended up I'm the one who color for her on the coloring book. She request me to color "on behalf".. haha.. She will make a fuss if I not follow her instruction.. very bad huh?

MommyAngel said...

Serene, hahahaha ... Your xixi is the same as Gwen leh, kekekeke ..... my Angel on the contrary don't want me to even stay near her drawing paper @_@ As if I will spoilt her drawings or what LOL
