Last Monday I went shopping with hubby then suddenly we spotted this cute little bike. Angel doesn’t have any toy car as yet and Angel’s grandma has always wanted to get her one but we stopped her because our house is so packed with Angel’s toys and stuffs already. But after much consideration about how it would helps Angel doing some exercises at home too, we cannot resisted this cute little bike (both me and hubby like it so much) so Angel officially got her first vehicle from daddy ….. finally :)
When she first saw the bike, she looks excited at first then hesitated for a moment and started running away from the bike. She stay so far away observing the bike for few minutes and told us that she is ‘怕怕’ (afraid) LoL But after a good 5 minutes of ‘warming up’ and circling the bike holding onto hubby’s hand while I show her how to sit on it (luckily I still manage to squeeze onto those seat uncomfortably of course, kekeke), she finally makes her first move and fall in love with it instantly. We are so glad that she loves her bike and we certainly hope that she will ride on it often and polishing up some of her paddling skills too :)
However, I noticed that the paddles of the bike are still slightly far for her feet to reach completely especially when she is making a turn. But I hope in a few months time, she would be able to paddle on it more comfortably. So I guess for the mean time, she just had to ride her bike like the normal kiddies’ toy car pushing with her feet loh …. :)
Looking at her happy smiley face really makes my day …… :) Angel also owe a big thank you to grandma for pushing Angel around the house on her new bike for a few days in a roll already :) Poor grandma :P

philp has a bicycle at home (hand-me-down), but he is not as excited as angel le.. from the pictures..

Angel's bike is very "yeng" hahaha. She really liked her bike. That's good. I also just bought a tricycle for Gwen. She doesn't like it, maybe the tricycle is too high for her coz it's more for 3 yrs plus.

Mummy Gwen, oh really? A tricycle for Gwen ah? How nice …. I am sure she will love it when she gets older because every kid loves tricycle :)

I think Xixi and Angel sure can become good friend already, bcos last time she also told me "pa-pa" when she first saw the toy car at home. hahaha..
I think sooner Angel will knows how to ride it in the proper way and start circling the house soon. It is a good exercise though.

Serene, hahaha ….. ya lor, wonder what’s so afraid of the toy car/bike leh, doesn’t look ugly or anything also hor. I hope Xixi still plays with her toy car by now and same goes to Angel la :)
JT, Yes …. Mom came for a visit again :) I also hope that soon she will be ‘tall enough’ to reach the paddle even when she turns the wheel around coz at the moment her feet still is not long enough to fully reach them unless she is cycling it in a straight line la :)
Doreen, she knows how to paddle but not expert yet, she manages to paddle a short distance that day, maybe 1 meter, kekeke ….
yea.. guess they still small to paddle yet? chloe paid high interest in the REAL toddle bicycle when we brought her to playground until we were so attempt to buy her one..
but then when we reach the bicycle shop and put her on even the smallest one also she couldnt reach the paddle.. hmm, maybe TOO early lah..
the reason why we want real bicycle is because it's easy to paddle as compare the plastic one? somemore plastic one is very hard to make turning i think (not that flexi).. :D
opz, think too far adi.. before 2 oredi wanna buy real bicycle meh?? hahahahaa..
Agnes, you are so right about the small real bicycle for kids …. Not only you lar, I’m also very tempted to get one for Angel but the seats are all too high for our young toddler still from what I can see, and also sharp edges at the bottom and also greasy wheel chain …. Maybe 3 years old is more suitable for those bikes la ….. yup! The toy bike for kid which Angel got is quite hard to make turn and also not suitable for them to cycle outside the house because they don’t have a ‘rubber’ wheel to grab the floor and can’t do ‘break’ during emergency stop, hahaha ….. but it’s great cycling inside the house coz it’s won’t be able to cycle too fast and knock things down, hahaha …. Perfect for indoors which is my main purpose to buy her the bike, hehehe …..
So nice that your mom is at your house now, so you can manja manja her mah...hehe. Some more can taste her home cooked food. So great!
Dont worry, I am sure Angel will master the skills pretty soon.
JT, cannot manja manja my mom coz my mom is all Angel's for now or else, Angel will get jealous oh :P
