I am feeling boring at home today so I brought Angel out for a stroll and catch some fresh air at a nearby market. Angel likes to go out for ‘gai-gai’ but bringing her out is very challenging for me - alone. As at her age now, she has her own thinking and knows where she prefers to walk. Despite that we have an agreement before we were out that she will follow me closely, and she nodded a few times without hesitation, but when she was out of the house, she was just like a bird let out of her cage :)
She is not afraid of strangers anymore and would wave bye bye and fly kiss everyone that she meets along the way. While walking, she would look for those curbs and doing her little ‘jump’ down from the curbs. Sometimes, she would insist that I let her carry my shopping but of course, I have to pay attention to those bag coz she tends to leave one or two bags behind when she feels tired. There was once a woman shouting at me from afar and when I looked back, one of my shopping bag was left behind by Angel at the side of the road :P
Of course, time to go home is always the toughest as she will be crying and screaming refused to follow me home no matter how I coax her. Normally hubby is the one who ‘drag’ our poor cutie pie home and everyone will certainly noticed her existence just by hearing her loud crying voice. However, that doesn’t stop us from bringing her to wherever we go :) I just hope that one day (which I hope will come real soon), I do not have to practice my ‘weight-lifting’ in public ever again :)

YEah...I agree it's quite challenging bringing them out at this age. I've been there..haha. Even at 2.5 years old, Gwen still likes to go where she wants to go and won't want to hold our hands. But no more crying when we bring her home. *phew*
Just wait and Angel will listen to you soon. She is exploring and absorbing on her own now. Maybe before you leave, you can tell her you bring her home eat "mam mam"...haha. :P
Maybe it's not my turn yet for Ashton to become cranky when it comes to going home from outing.. but I do agree with you that shopping with them single-handed is really a tough job - and only us (mothers) can do it.. am I right??? *LOL*
Mummy Gwen, I think she will still choose to kai-kai rather then maam maam, hahaha :) Just hope like you said, at least going home is not another crying episode :)
Esmeralda, you are so right about the single-handed scenario and only us mother manage to do it :) Sometimes when it come to kids, we as mother suddenly will developed this super power which we really are not aware of all these while :P
Why they just like gei gei and will cry whenever need to go home?????? My girl sometimes will cry when it is time to go home... so sometimes I just need to tipu her lorrr... tell her we will go another place gei gei..
Yup!! *lol*.. no matter how strong my hb is (though he went to gym), he can't carry a 12.5kg boy for more than 10 mins at one go... I always laugh at him saying that it's not even his weights that he is carrying all the time.. He told me carrying him and a weight is different. So in child handling & mobility wise, how strong you are doesn't matter - all that matters is whether you are mum/dad... hehehehe..
My girls also like to lepak in wet market too.

Cutie pie like her sure got lots of attention of passesby. It's good to bring them to market as they can see and feel the various types of fruits and veg.
Wow!~ I like ur new interface.. very got CNY mood!~
Mummy Moon, your girl believe you or not when you said go for another place to kai kai? Hahaha …. Good idea also but just now I try tell Angel that but she still cry because she don’t want to go kai kai some other place, she want to kai kai here!!! :( :(
Esmeralda, wah …. Ashton is 12.5kg already ah? He don’t look chubby at all leh but look at Angel …. Yeah, after we become mom, we become superwoman too :)
Hi Jess, Hahaha … my girl if she some water at the road site in the market, she will be happier :)
Julie, yes …. Sometimes bringing them to the market is a good activity because they can touch everything (of course not those dirty stuffs la, hahaha). Just hope our market will be cleaner lo, that’s all :)
PeiWun, hahaha ….. thanks ya. You know how much I love red so CNY colour definitely is my pick!!!
Yes he's 12.5kg (was 13kg but lost quite a bit when he's ill)... he dun look heavy, maybe it's his bones..
Esmeralda, ya .... maybe he have heavy bone oh .... then it's really must be a 'heavy' job to carry him around lor? I think even Angel's weight is too much for my back bone to bare already :)
Yes it is really a heavy task to carry him around - that's why usually I just left him at my mum's place if I were to go groceries shopping otherwise I can't do my shopping having to carry "extra baggage".. hehe... no wonder my hb says it's tiring!
Angel "looks" heavy, but not as heavy as I thought in reality.. I love her chubbiness!
Esmeralda, I like her chubby chubby too and especially her lotus hand and legs :) Can't believe that she eats not much (as I have been controlling her weight) but still, she looks chubby hor :)
Indirectly, Angel is a good helper too..at least she could help you to carry the bags for "a while"..hehe.
- She is so cute now..how I wish I can meet her someday...
Joanne, yes ... a very 'tai mong' helper who always leave things behind :) She is very strong actually!!
Ya ... I also wish I could meet little Sarah one day .... ah, but wait la, the day will come and I am waiting :)
Ya ya, I also dun like to bring Xixi out alone, unless no choice, or else better wait hubby to drive us out together.
Yup.. dun ever let her loose her chubbiness ya Caroline... Dun worry.. She's just a child. She won't grow into very gigantic lar.. Dun need to control her food so much. Pity her.. ;)
Serene, ya … normally I can’t and will not bring her out alone unless I really am so bored at home then no choice la :) because she is getting stronger now and I can hardly hold her on my own already especially when she struggles wanting to break free.
Esmeralda, oh … you don’t know Angel, if I do not control her appetite, she can really eat a lot. That day I just wanna try out how much she can really eat / drink so I just feed as per demand and can you imagine she can finished 9 oz + another 9 oz of milk in 1 goal?? Gosh …. She really have a big tummy!!!!
Wow... 9+9 oz is too much lar.. no wonder u need to control her food lar.. I guess u just have to keep on controlling then..
Esmeralda, hahaha .... that's why lo. Even if she was new born, she keep crying for milk too until at one time, she really take 8 oz in 1 go (she was not even 1 month old). Really scary appetite she has there.
