Angel’s 2nd Christmas!

It certainly was a great Christmas day for all of us. Having a kid at home during Christmas time certainly brightens our days. In the morning after breakfast, we just went for a short walk at the markets nearby and it feels great. I think the most happiest of us 3 was our little Angel :)

This is Mommy and Angel wearing our Christmas Hats at home with Daddy being the ‘Christmas Camera Man’ for once. It’s really hard to get Angel looking at the camera as her eyes were totally glued on those Christmas gifts. She was so happy LoL.

Daddy bought Mommy a necklace for Christmas Present. *Thank you so much Dear!* But unfortunately Mommy does not bought Daddy any gift this year as too busy preparing Daddy's roasted beef on Chirstmas Eve *hehehe* And look what Mommy bought for Angel …. A Wooden Mini Loader (Angel was very interested in toys on wheels lately)

And also 2 very nicely designed 1/24 scaled Volkswagen New Bettle Miniature Cars! Oh …. But Angel is so afraid of those 2 (see pix below) because they will run ‘by themselves’ when the car was pulled backwards :( I think they look really nice and finely made too with doors which can be open. Hubby says the cars were more suitable for a car enthusiast’s collections rather then for a kid to bang on the floor :)

A 4 pc Wooden Picture Blocks. Somehow Angel doesn’t know how to arrange those picture blocks yet but she just can’t wait to play her stacking game again. She really loves blogs so much :)

Teng teng teng teng ~~~Time to open Daddy’s gifts. Ta daaa ….. It’s a Baby Minnie Mouse Bag!! Oh ….. she absolutely loves the bag although I think she mistaken that for a Minnie soft toy LoL She even kissed the Baby Minnie on the nose showing how much she really loves them :)

Oh …. What’s inside this red package? Oh …. It’s a Christmas gift from Angel's beloved Grandma! A Fisher Price Medical Kit set. I think she loves the kit set so much until she refused to let go of her toy even during dinner time.

Evening time, Daddy says it’s pool ……. Oppssss …… ‘Bathtub’ Splashing Time!!! She has a good 1 hour playing in the tub before Daddy prepares our dinner :) Yes, Daddy is the chef for the night too. Oh, that was really one of the nicest Christmas Day of all:)

Hi all, ya .... we had a great time although we didn't do much on the day :)

WoW... Angel must be very happy to receive so many gifts this time... Haha.. she's into cars too now? So how many "containers" do you need in the house to keep all of her toys and stuffs?

Esmeralda said...

Oh ya.. and it's so sweet of daddy to be the chef for the night...

Cool...! Angel can stay in the tub for an hour???

Kristie said...

i agree with u, x'mas is spent with family and they are the most important of all! they make x'mas so much more special with their presence :)

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, yes … she is very boyish oh, she don’t like dolls but like cars :) No need a lot of containers la, 1 big one is enough and very soon, she will break some of them and make more room for others, ha! Yes, she can stay in the bath tub all day long I think. She cried her lungs out when we take her out of the tub :)

Kristie, yes …. Hubby do not like to go shopping actually. Lazing around the house is not bad after all :)

Serene said...

Wah... you got such a big bath tub at home ah??
Don't worry, your roasted beef is the best X'mas pressie for your husband already.
So nice la, your hubby can cook for you so you could get one day off. hahhaa..

So many pressies for the little girl.

So nice to have a bath tub at home. Can make bubble bath for Angel.

MommyAngel said...

Hi Serene, hahaha … actually hubby can cook more Chinese dishes then me la … but of course, he has to be supervised or else, he will try to add in some ‘strange’ ingredients in it leh :P Ya …. At least I get to ‘shake leg’ a bit at home, hehehe :)

Julie, yeah …. I think it’s nice to have a bath tub actually. I used to hate it so much but now seems like quite useful for Angel to play in it without having to worry about sun and wind :)

Wow... so many pressies!! Angel so lucky!

I think cars are more to boys' thing ... if for my Ryan, he'll quickly grab the cars and wouldn't let go lorr!

Esmeralda said...

Haha.. that's so funny of you describing how she can make room for new toys in her storage by breaking them up??? Currently I have 1 container and 1 IKEA laundry storage bag for Ashton's toys, and I believe there'll be more coming in..

I really dun dare to let Ashton take a long bath - scared he caught the cold... coz he's quite "sensitive" now.. Anyway, good to know that Angel loves taking long baths.. maybe next time can bring her for a swim ya..

Btw, you've got a big tub there ya..

MommyAngel said...

Doreen, oh ... Ryan loves car, how nice .... yeah, Angel is quite boyish, she rather play with toy cars then playing with dolls. Maybe next time Ryan and Angel can play together :)

Esmeralda, yes ... Angel always breaks her toys. The FP toy is more ok and if I were to buy those toy from the normal toy shop, I can say that she will break them within a week, sometimes within hours, no joking here. Wow .... Ashton have a lot of toys too ya, does he play with them all the time? Angel doesn't really like toys actually but don't know why I keep on buying more .... maybe you can do a post in your blog to show us which one is his favourite and least favourites?

Esmeralda said...

Yes Ashton have lots of toys, and usually bulky ones. Yup will do a blog post when I'm free regarding his toys. He too don't like toys so much.. just like my cooking ladle, spoons, containers, and anything he got from the kitchen cabinet and drawers... *sigh*

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, ya ….. I think we are in the same boat. How come kids always interested to play with those things that they were not suppose to? I think if I were to buy a cooking set for Angel, she will still be interested in the real one rather then her colourful ladle and pots. Strange!!

Esmeralda said...

High 5!! (errh.. should I say that??) Yup, my mum also told me to buy him a set, but I said "no"..

1st - He's not a girl
2nd - He prefers the real 1.

*sigh* nowadays kids are too clever to "bribe" them already.

Sometimes I even have to find my cooking utensils in his containers.. ;P

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, hahaha ... if I were you, I also will not buy him the cooking set la coz I honestly think that's a girl thing la :) If he likes it then maybe I will get him some real ladle / spoons something like that just for him to play with. And they are much more cheaper then those FP cooking set leh. Hahaha ..... you really need to search for your utensils before cooking oh :) Hope that there'll be no days that when hubby back home and want to eat but dinner is not ready because you couldn't find the ladle :P

Esmeralda said...

Haha... Can't imagine if hubby come back and no dinner on the table ya...

FP's toys really expensive... do u buy normal brand toys for Angel? I don't dare at the moment coz Ashton likes to bite & chew on them..

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, Oh .... I did try to buy her those normal toys but I think not economy wise at the moment because:-

1) like you said, Angel also will put it into her mouth when I am not looking and most of them are Made in China so I am very afraid of the lead and the colouring issues and don’t know whether they are safe for kids to chew on it or not ….

2) Those toy won't last long coz Angel likes to SMASH her toys on the floor or BAGGING them hard on the table repeatedly (especially I am not watching). Most of the time, the toys will be broken within hours (there was 2 which broke within monutes) and the parts will came separated (might choked if she shallow) and also form a sharp edge or even protruding out from the body part which is so so dangerous. That’s why after few incident like that, normally I will go for FP or other branded toy unless I can’t find the particular toy. Hope that she will stop chewing / smashing her toy then maybe I will consider the normal brand toy.

And I also found that those branded toy like FP really are nicely made leh, no matter how hard Angel smash them, they still looks fine :)

Esmeralda said...

I wonder why kids like to bang and smash their toys ya.. Ashton also like to do that.. he always throw his toys from higher grounds.. like from his cot to the ground .. *sigh*

Just like you, I also aim for FP, Little Tikes and other good brands..

MommyAngel said...

Esmeralda, really? Ashton does that too?? Hahaha ..... thought Angel is the only one :P She like to smash her toy and look at it thorn apart, but I remember when I was still a toddler, I like to pull off the head of the dolls end enjoy doing that so much, hahaha :P

Esmeralda said...

yes he did that Caroline.. i think kids are always kids... they won't be kids if things were to be perfect.. ;)

It is so nice to see a nice and warm celebration.
I like the way you enjoy this event. I mean, although you are not Christian, but you really did enjoyed the event very much..
- Woww..now Angel is bathing on adult's bath tub already? So fun and BIG!

MommyAngel said...

Joanne, hahaha … Yes, I love to make it a celebrations for all the festival and join in the fun and make it a family day :) Actually hubby started to like the idea as we make every year a few days to celebrate not just for the festivals but also revive our relationship as a family + doing something ‘together’ (only 3 of us) and enjoying the cherish the moments we spend. I think it really does helps in reminding how blessed we are actually :)

Oh no … Angel is not bathing in an adult bath tub yet because it’s wasting too much water, hahaha ….. that’s the only day that she plays in the tub because we don’t have a kid’s rubber pool at home :)

Yes, Queenie :)

Caroline, I 100% agreed with what you have said. The moment that you spent the day with your family is the most important one!
- Oo, I thought Angel is playing in the big bath tub..hehe.
So normally how do you bathe Angel? Not in the kids bath tub?

MommyAngel said...

JT, my fault, yes, in the picture Angel is playing in the big tub but when she take her normal bath, she will be using her baby tub still :( Hahaha.
