Electronic Era

When daddy is busy working from home but still have to babysit little Annabelle, that's how he did it!!! *gulp* O.o

Kids (.... err, and babies O.o) nowadays are more interested in the electronic gadgets then kids toys. Most kids are going out with the Ipad in hand. I was thinking to get the LeapPad Explorer for the kids too but to my horror, it's more expensive then the Ipod Touch, and not including all the games that we need to purchase separately which cost us a bomb too :(

Hubby has been begging me to show the "ok" sign for the Ipod touch or Ipad long ago but I am a bit reluctant. I know once we got it, it will be very hard not to hand over the gadgets to them whenever we are out. And if we get it, we have to get 2 sets instead looking at how they are constantly snatching and fighting for the same toy 24 hours a day.

To buy or not to buy ..... that's a tough question! *think hard*

Valentine's Day 2012 with no Valentine

Days before Valentine's Day, I always tell myself that I don't need expensive flowers on Valentine's Day and being rip-off by the florists for something that I do not really fond of! No no to flowers!!!!!

But as days went by, watching all the wives/girlfriends flashing their sweet red blossoms pictures in facebook, I started to feel pity for myself as my hubby totally forgotten all about me in the far faraway land back in hometown all alone with my 2 girls while he is in Shanghai. And this is my first Valentine's Day without hubby around too!!! *Sob sob* Then suddenly I heard honk! honk! and my mom rush into my room and handed me these

^ ^ It says: Dear Carol, Happy Valentine's Day, from Hubby!

I asked my mom: "You bought it for me? Don't bluff me ah!!! Really from him?"

Ok, this man has not forgotten all about his wife after all! Aikss ... no chance to "faat-lan-zha" with him already and called him straight away with a different voice tone! :P

Now I realised that flowers really are most women's soft spot! It will magically drives all negative moods away ...... ^_^

^ ^ Except for this young lady! She absolutely hates the flowers getting anywhere near her and frown frown frown! :P :P

^ ^ But this lady, it is totally different! She loves 'em and asked whether it's from daddy for her :)

Angel really thought daddy sent her those flowers and tell me she loves it so much but reinstate that she doesn't want to get married with daddy and have babies! :P
Angel also gives me a big hug when coming back from her school and wish me Happy Valentine's Day as instructed by her class teacher! That's very sweet of her and I do hope that I will get her hugs and kisses everyday for Valentine's Day.

But after D day, all these flowers has been sitting in the living room and I do not know what to do with them. Such a waste ....... and starts wondering how nice if we can cash that and used it for something more well worthy and useful!! OK, I must remember no flowers! no flowers! again next year :P

Luckily few days later, we passed it to our neighbour to turn it into dry flowers. Problems solved at last ^_^

Then I asked hubby, no cards from him?? He then sent me an email and asked me to help him post it onto facebook!! Haaiii .... that one also need help? I didn't but that's what he wrote:

"BB,
I need to say thank you for not giving up on me so far because I know that all I have done to you so far are well below what a husband should do. I really appreciate what you have sacrificed for taking care of our two little “angels” without me alone. So, I would like to take this opportunity to say Sorry to you and ………
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love,
XXX"

That's my Valentine's Day 2012 ....... ^_^

No Shoulder To Lean On?

I found this picture taken in my camera when I was pregnant with Annabelle (around 6th April 2010) and decided to put it up here (to remember >:( ).

What would your husband tells you when you are trying to manja-manja a bit or when you are really in a short of breathe during your pregnancy / feeling unwell and needs a shoulder to hold on to? My story goes like this .....

Hubby and I were going out for lunch while trying to catch a taxi to a shopping mall in Shanghai. Suddenly my heavily pregnant belly (then) feels uncomfortable and I am running short of breathe too. Feeling a little bit tired and nauseous trying to chase keep up with hubby’s footpace, I then seek for his attention while he was trying his very best trying to wave down a taxi:

Me: B …. I think I can’t breathe and feeling dizzy lah ……

Hubby: Oh really?? *worried* Quick come here!! Lean on here ….. Lean on here !! *still busy waving down a taxi*

Me:
Huh?? What ....... lean on where??

And when I look at the direction that he pointed, I saw .....

Actually he was pointing at the 'Electrical' pole on the left at first! Then .... 'THAT RAIL! Ohh …… ???!!!!

So can you see how “unromantic” this man can be when his wife was only trying to seek for a tiny winy attention or a shoulder to lean on, at least?? Sigh …….

Someone Is So Sweet ....

That’s the person who has been helping a lot during the time when I am having those rough days during my pregnancy with Annabelle. He would rush to the wet market to get all the groceries, vegetables and meat before day breaks, If time permitted, he would also prepared Angel and my breakfast + lunch before he rush to work, and then once back from work in the evening, he would rush to cook dinner for us (if not eating out) and continue do all the dishes, cleaning up and then take over the job of entertaining little Angel while I rush to take my bath. When I was finally done, often that I find this man dozing off on the sofa after a hard day of work and house chores :). When I am able to get back in the kitchen doing all the cooking again in my 2nd trimester, he would still do much of the house chores such as cleaning, mopping, ironing & laundry at home (basically everything) which sometimes I am just thankful for having him at home when I needed him most :)

This is nothing like ‘him’ 3 years back, during the time I was pregnant with Angel where I would need to asked and asked, nag and nag, and found him did nothing / helping nothing at the end of the day apart from gluing his eyes to the TV set. During that period, it is such a hard time for me to really enjoy my pregnancy and with me juggling between my busy working schedule, my terrible morning sickness + solving my everyeday meals (cooking will be a no-no since the slightest smell would make me threw up badly). Hence, everyday working late and with a tired body and mind, I have to feed myself with either Maggie Mee or biscuits, and whatever junk food that I could find in the house. I guess after having Angel, after the horrible c-section (for me, it is horrible …..) and the period where we really did some adjustments in terms of ‘supporting and helping’ each other during the time in need and taking care of Angel who is a so call 'high needs baby', hubby somehow has changed for better …… which I hope this will be a permanent thing and on going :) Yes, I have finally saw a good father and good husband in him after all these years ^_^

Maybe someone would say that “Ain’t all hubby should do all these and act in such caring and thoughtful manner since the very beginning?” For me sure it’s not the case unfortunately. I do not mind to start off rough and hopefully, this man who I cared so much would keep up his good work and keeping his promises that he would “improved” himself taken up the role as to be a good father and a good husband day by day :)

I am not asking too much, just a 50% passing grades from him will be good enough for me ^_^

6 More Days To Go …..

……. and I still can’t believe it's here so soon !!!!!!!!

Finally I am back to Malaysia and getting everything prepared to welcome our little precious #2 into our family. In less the 6 days will be ‘THE BIG DAY’ for baby #2 already (Yeah ….. I know, can’t believe that it will be soooooo soon!!!) and it has been such a wonderful pregnancy journey so far. Actually my 2nd pregnancy experience is not much different from Angel’s time (if not worst). The horrible and terrible morning sickness, heartburn for a full 5 months and also, my health turning down hill since the day I conceived + all the pregnancy blues & mood swings, etc ….. however with Angel’s lovely smile surrounding me every single day and hubby’s understanding + constant shower me with all his tender loving care (he actually cooks + do all cleanings + ironing for the first few months *sweet* ^_^ ) and my mom’s great help in taking over Angel for a couple of months at the later stage of my pregnancy, etc ….. all these helping hands somehow makes things become more easy to bear and everything seems to pass by so quickly and smoothly.

So far, things has been rough during the 1st trimesters but thanks to my pregnancy brains not functioning properly, things which I still remembered mostly was the happy times which I had with our family of 3+1 spending together and going for baby #2’s monthly pre-natal check-ups, watching the little person doing all sort of funny moves in the tiny ultrasound screens, etc. Baby #2 is so much active then Angel’s time until at one point, I asked my obstetrician “Is too active considered a problem?????” which the obstetrician had a good laugh :P There is not much of baby #2 ultrasound picture taken due to baby is ever moving until the doctor has to tell her, “Calm down baby!! Calm down!!” each and everytime :)

With this pregnancy, I was also put on the high risk list of Pre-Gestational Diabetes (I have a border line results) and also baby #2 is found to be 2 weeks in advance in terms of size in the early stage. Hence as directed by the obstetrician, I really controlled what I ate and drink throughout this pregnancy in order to avoid the need of the insulin injection everyday. I have to poke my fingers 5 times per day (since my 24 weeks untill now) to monitor the level of my blood sugar after each and every meal and that is really something hard to forget ever!! *Oh …. My poor fingers* With Angel, I have gained a hefty 25 - 30 kg but with #2, I only gained 4 - 5kg so far (I started off very overweight also-lah FYI :P) and I am glad that with a healthy eating plan + increased my level of activities *thanks to hubby who drag me out of the house almost every few days*, baby #2 seems to grow well and healthily day by day without any medical intervention :)

I aslo get all sorts of different comments about my belly in this pregnancy. For example, some didn’t even noticed that I was pregnant when I was actually 6 months along the way (boarding flights without being noticed or need to fill up any forms) but on the other hand, I also got few strangers commented that my tummy look extremely huge for a 6th month belly and asked whether it’s twins *>’’<*. When I am back here in Malaysia, some would said that my tummy looks small for a 37th weeks pregger but some said it’s huge. *grin* So I really don’t know whether it’s small or large but doctor told me baby #2 is growth is right on track, not too big or too small which is great :) I even get to enjoy a great ‘babymoon’ during my 2nd trimesters after getting the green lights from my obstetrician ……. visiting LiJiang - travelling up a 4506m above sea level YuLong Snow Mountain (and we actually brought oxygen with us!) and also, been to JiuZhaiGou - jungle tracking and walking a few KM with my 6 months pregnant huge belly …… although I did get some strange looks from a lot of local travelers on and off (they must be wondering what a heavily pregnant woman doing here, walking and jungle tracking + stairs climbing in the jungle and such cold weather, etc) but I actually feels better physically and mentally after all the ‘exercises’ and the fresh air away from the polluted Shanghai City. Hubby is so nice to actually let me tag along for all his trips to Nanjing, ChongQing and ChengDu and therefore, I feels like I am actually having the greatest holiday in my life and forgot all about my aching back bone or sore feet after exploring all these places which I never had a change to visit before.

Baby #2 is also a very special baby :) This little person is very responsive (which is totally different from Angel) and whenever hubby is talking near my tummy, Baby #2 would actually response to hubby’s call and never fails to give hubby and me some ‘hint’ that baby is actually listening to us. Watching baby #2 doing all sorts of somersaults inside my belly is hubby’s favourite pass time too. This never happens in Angel’s time as Angel would totally ignore us when she was still inside my tummy. Baby #2 also loves milk as compare to Angel’s time where Angel only loves Milo and would only move during her milo time. Baby #2 will move non stop whenever I saw food on the table or every 3 hours after meal signaling me it’s time to Eat! Eat! Eat! (I actually ate minimum 5 meals per day) I began to love the feeling of baby #2 sleeping cosily inside my tummy as this little person hasn’t really bring much problems to me in terms of walking / moving around up to this point *happy*. When I was pregnant with Angel, I could hardly walk at all since I hit my 3rd trimesters and have to be confined at home most of the time. With Baby #2, I can still go shopping all day long and driving all day long all by myself without much problems which really makes my pregnancy journey much more enjoyable :)

I can’t believe that with just a blink of an eye, it’s only less then 6 DAYS away from ‘THE BIG DAY’ that I would actually get to meet baby #2 in person and hold this tiny little person in my arms for the very first time ^_^ Although I will be more then happy if baby #2 decided to hold on pass the EDD but guess that it’s never going to happen this time for this is my 2nd c-section and My Obstetrician advised to actually have the operation half month earlier. So I guess baby #2 would meet us earlier on her 38th gestational week instead?

Oh dear, I think I have started to miss my pregnancy journey and baby #2 staying inside my huge huge tummy already even before baby is born ……. I really never get bored or tired in this pregnancy for some reason ^_^ But anyway, kind of ‘gan cheong’ heading towards the day I get to meet baby #2 and kissed this little precious for the very first time ^_^ I must admit that I am very scared about the operation too at the same time *_*III

Wish me luck ^_^

Daddy's Haircut Of Love ^_^

Hubby decided to give Angel a haircut himself (ahem!!!) while I think that’s really sweet. I prepared Angel before hand showing her videos of kids having their haircut and she was so excited and shouted, “Cut Hair!! Cut Angel hair!!” for the past few days.

So when the day came, hubby brought Angel into the bathroom and then start doing his first cut with the 1 and only equipment he brought along – a scissor, while I worriedly grab a comb along and said …….

M: Errrrmmm ….. you don’t need a comb to straighten her hair before cutting????
H: No need la!! I can use my hand. *touch touch Angel’s hair*

H: See, they are straightened!
M: *gulp* …..

M: Aren’t you want to wet Angel’s hair a bit so that they were easier to cut???
H: What for? I think I can handle dry hair …..

M: But you need to wet them and then comb them properly first so that you could ……..
H: *angry* Aiyaaaa!!! You stopped bothering me lah!! I know what I am doing!!!!! Can you go out, close the door and let me do my job????

*praying while I closed the toilet door leaving a gap keeping an eye on him and Angel*

Snap! Snap! Snap! with Angel starts crying because she was terrified with those black looking hair falling onto her shoulder and body. Hubby trying hard to console our poor little girl and occasionally raising his voice to keep her standing still.

Finally, everything was done in less then 10 minutes (that was quick) and after Angel got her shower, hubby carried Angel out with a smile on his face ……

H: Not too bad!!! Not too bad!! I am good at this *wink at me*
M: Really?? *what a relief* That’s great!!! Come ….. let me blow dry Angel’s soaking wet hair after she got dressed.

Once I blow dry Angel’s hair, that’s the ‘not too bad’ outcome according to the si-fu (master) ………..

Gulp~~!!! Is that a hair cut or a terrible ‘dog bite’???? O-M-G!!!! *fainted*

M: *call hubby* Come see yourself!!!! Is that a straight line ???
H: Impossible!!! I cut her hair straight I am sure!!!! *embarrassed*

M: And why you cut her hair that short?? That’s a boy cut!!!
H: How to cut them middle length while her ears are both side blocking the way??? I won’t want to cut into her ears you see ……

M: That’s like a ‘coconut hair’!! And a ‘crooked’ coconut hair too!!! *you know …..*
H: I think they look stylish and ok mah ~~

M: ……………….. *totally speechless so I hold Angel before him to let him have a closer look himself*
H: It is not that bad what ~~ *O.o*

Then I show Angel to the mirror while she take a long looked at herself without showing or saying anything and then suddenly, she frown in the mirror and said: “BOY~~~” *>”<* Luckily it’s another 1 month + before Chinese New Year and I am trying to be optimistic hoping that her hair will grow a bit longer by then. Since this is daddy’s first hair cut for Angel so I know that he has tried his best but restricted by his ‘very limited talents’ (which he is trying very hard to deny until now) :P. Anyhow, apart from the ‘outcome’, that is indeed a very memorable moments for our little girl as well as for daddy I think :) And later that day while hubby was carrying Angel alone in the other room, I overheard hubby secretly whispers gently to Angel “Angel~~, Sorry oh ~~…….” *Smile* I guess that must be referring to the hair cut …………

Up –The Digital 3D Movie

^ ^ The gigantic posters along the hall way

This is the latest Disney Pixar’s animation movie that we’ve watched over the weekend and it’s our first Digital 3D movies too. We pay 240 Baht (RM24) per ticket here in Paragon Cin*plex Bangkok and again, the ticketing lady there is so nice enough to highlight the 4th row seats in their theater will have the nicest angle of watching the 3Ds movie ^_^. This round, we didn’t bring Angel along and luckily, we didn’t!! As hubby said, this might not be an interesting movie for Angel’s age (maybe more for older kids) as she is still too young to understand their conversations and stories and we were sure that she will not sit through the entire movie. I don’t know whether I heard it wrongly or not but I did hear a ‘snoring’ sound from the back row seat sometime after the movie
starts! What a waste!!!

The story starts off with a very funny animation which is very funny and touching. But once into the main story, I kind of feel 'sorrow' towards the old man as the story goes *sob sob*.…….. The movie is about how the little kid (the old man) met his childhood sweetheart who also share a lifelong dream for a great adventure. As they grew up, getting married, starting their own family, they were still hoping that one day their great adventure will come until a sad abortion happened …….. they manage to support each other and as they grew older day by day, until one day the old man's wife have to bid farewell to the old man and their happy moments together as a family. And the poor old man feeling lonely and hopelessly, and beginning his journey to travel to this one place as to fulfill the dreams of his departed wife, and finally only realized that her lifelong dreams has actually being fulfilled with the happy days spending with him :)

This movie can really contemplate so much about the meaning of love, life, happiness and dreams from message behind the simple story lines (I won’t want to go into that as I will have a never ending post to write) but in terms of a pure movie leisure, ……. I don’t think kids at Angel’s age will get the idea of the entire life and death thing at this moment and also, I find that the story line is way too gloomy for my liking for an animation :) The dog chatter part is also a double minus from me!! But apart from that, it’s still a good movie to watch as the 3D animation is awesome especially in the scene of the canyons and the storms are extremely real and magnificent. The story lines and conversations are very simple for older toddlers to understand too and I am sure with some guidance and explanation from the adults (it's a PG rated movie), older kids can easily picked up a lot of good moral values such as, helping a friend in need, not afraid to chase after ones dreams, not letting go easily, etc. from the animation too. This animation is also very good in terms of sparking a child’s imagination where everything is possible and yet incorporating some reality (love, life, family, friends) which revolving around us.

^ ^ Hubby with his Terminator-Like 3D glasses ^_^

I have seen a lot of good rating for this movie but I would still give this movie a 3-Star out of 5 for my own rating, not because it’s bad but because it’s kind of gloomy for me after watching :P I heard that Malaysia will feature this animation sometimes in August. Catch it if you have the time and of course, don’t expect anything, BRING A TISSUE, watch it with an open heart and who knows, you might comes to love it. Maybe I have put in too much expectation in this movie after watching Ice Age 3 …… or maybe I prefer a more jolly happy movie when it comes to an animation after all :) So who's planning to watch this?

* the above is not a movie review but only my personal experience and thoughts after watching the movie :P

Innovation?

I was onto something in the kitchen when Angel came asking for “Bread~~! Mommy, Eat ~~ Bread~~!”.

So I asked my ‘Trusty Helper’ (a.k.a. darling hubby) to help Angel with those bread and reminded him to put on the bib for her as these few days, I could see ants crawling all over the house searching for food and the last thing I wanted to see is to attract more ants into the living room.

When I return, I saw Angel is happily munching on her bread! But when take a closer look …

What the ....... !!??

The ‘unsterilized’ bib pocket which was supposed to catch any food spills has become a food container for Angel’s bread. *eyes opened wide @_@III*

How hard is it to actually grab a bowl or a plate for that purpose??????? Is this innovation or what? Hahahahaha *speechless*

p/s: I can't help but start wondering how hubby normally serve food like fruits and porridge to Angel when I am not around ....

p/s: My computer went dead again :( So might not be able to online for don't know how long :(

Today is 'His' Day??

Tonight was just a normal Sunday night until ......... the clock strikes 12am midnight (means Monday is starting), hubby who was watching TV sitting beside me (normally he would sit on his own seat) suddenly gave me a pat on my shoulder, show me a very sad and pity look on his face with all the nose sniffing stuff and also the upside down U shape mouth while looking at me …….

H: ......... (sniff sniff)
M: What? Why??

H: You don’t know??
M: Know what? What??? *head scratching*

H: (pause) ……………… Actually today supposed to be ‘my’ day ……
M: Huh?? Why is it ‘your’ day? What day? *Mong Cha Cha*

H: …………. *making an even pity and double upside down U shape mouth and sniff even louder*
M: Don’t make me think la, I don’t understand ….. tell me!

H: Actually today is FATEHR”S DAY!! (sniff sniff) Now it’s already pass midnight (sniff sniff)
M: *laughing non stop* Oh …. You purposely waited until it’s 12am to tell me I forgot ah? Hahaha, it’s next week la dear ~~~, so you wanted to celebrate today or next week?

H: Ya meh? Not today meh?? *happy*
M: Hahahahaha ….. so can you get a good night sleep now??

I was laughing until I can’t open my eyes when I think of hubby’s pity look just now. He sure is very kan-cheong (anxious) about “HIS” day as compare previously. Hahahahaha …. I guess I must make sure I think of something special on behalf of Angel for her daddy or else, sure daddy will be very disappointed …… poor daddy!! Must motivate him a bit la this year :) Hahahahaha! But it’s really funny coz normally hubby don’t really remembered special occasions such as these until I told him or reminded him every year. Somehow this year, he seems to be so anxious about Father’s Day which means he really takes his position as a father seriously this year :) *smile* I think he deserves a special Father’s Day celebration for his hard work in helping with our 'Queen Angel' at home la :)

So ....... Did your Man also expected the same on this coming Father’s Day?

Her Bolster Is So Tiny

Time to change Angel’s tiny little bolster I guess ….. can you see how little is her first bolster comparing to her new one? Although she doesn’t use them that often but still, hubby feels that his little girl would be more comfortable with a bolster by her side so I finally got a bigger one for her :) Although we have got her a new bolster but ironically, she still prefers her small old bolster more and you would see her tuck the tiny little bolster in between her legs where I could hardly see it anymore ….. she really is growing up so much by comparing the size of her 1st old bolster to her size now :) Oh …. How time flies :) :) I know kids are kind of addicted to the smell of their old belongings such as bolster / pillow / blanket / nappy, etc but seems like Angel does not have this addiction so far apart from her daddy who is constantly taking a sniff on Angel’s old bolster every night when he tuck her in. Opppssss …… LoL

Crispy Roasted Pork

That day I came across Mikeyoki site that she is making her own Crispy Roasted Pork which makes my hands itchy for a new menu again coz this dish is my hubby’s favourite food. According to Mikeyoki, she says marinate and baked on the 4th days but I totally forgot about my piece of meat in the fridge (coz it’s weekends) so on the 5th day when I opened up the fridge, only I saw my piece of meat is still lying happily inside the cold temperature enjoying it’s cold air con!!! *slap forehead* So I quickly heat up my oven and give it a good roasted but I am using the big oven so the pork doesn’t look cooked at the bottom so I prolonged the roasting period from 15 minutes to 30 minutes for the bottom and 15 minutes on the top. The outcome was more then great (Mikeyoke, you are the best!!!) Once the pork is done, hubby already can’t wait to lay his hands on them and keep asking me when can he ate them. So while I let my roasted pork cold down under the room temperature, hubby has actually helped me to slice them all up nicely without being asked LoL

The outcome is extremely nice and the skin of the pork is very crispy! Hubby loves it very much and so do I. Unfortunately I only manage to do 2 small pieces that day for trial so hubby suggested why not we do a BIG piece on the same afternoon but I told him that the meat has to be marinated for few days …… he seems so disappointed, poor man LoL So at the end, we went and got ourselves a 2kg pork belly and again, without being asked, hubby voluntarily helped me to slit and poke the skin of the pork belly before marinating. Hubby even reminded me EVERY SINGLE DAY and NIGHT to brush vinegar on the pork afraid that I will be forgetting ….. hahahaha!!! That’s really something that never happened before in history!!! I think if I have not stopped him fight from the beginning and warned him never to touch MY MEAT, he would have happily doing the brushing for me every hour and every single minutes too LoL…… but I think the ‘difficult job’ better left to me just to make sure ‘we will have our crispy roasted pork’ at the end of the day :)

I think hubby just can’t wait for another piece of the crispy roasted pork because he really loves it so much until he purposely picked a pork belly which has a thick layer of fats on it!!!! LoL The ‘big day’ will be in a couple of days time before it when into the oven again ( I know I won’t be forgetting this time as hubby surely has started his countdown by now …. :P). I think I shall let Angel have a taste on them too since the other day, all of ‘em was wallop up by hubby before Angel wakes up from her nap :) A big THANK YOU to Mikeyoki for this nice recipe :)

Daddy’s and Mummy’s Cooking

This is the first day of a new year 2009 and early in the morning, I found hubby is in the kitchen busy preparing porridge for our little Angel. (oh … how sweet ….) Normally hubby will be too lazy to cook as he prefers to laze on the sofa and turned on his favourite TV program / playing puzzle with our playful Angel. But since few days ago I get hubby to cook for Angel as I was too busy doing our year end house cleaning, he seems to enjoy playing ‘cook’ for Angel and asked how I mix and matched Angel’s food as well as the timing to add in the different ingredients because Angel seems to eat pretty slow on the first and second day hubby play chef and also, the colour of the porridge looks very dull due to excessive cooking. So after much consultation for the past few days, today hubby decided to cook Angel’s Porridge with Broccoli, Potatoes, Carrots, Chicken Meat and stir in an Egg just before the fire went off. (Angel is still on her lengthy allergy test against eggs so no new food to be introduced still :( :( ).

Once the porridge was done, hubby commented that the colour of the porridge looks so much nicer and also, the taste of the porridge really improves dramatically!! I must say that this is a good combination in terms of colour and flavour. I certainly am very proud of hubby and also very happy to see that Angel enjoys and learned to appreciate Daddy’s cooking more finally :)

As for our dinner, I also tried something new at home – Curry Chicken! I am not good in cooking curry but this one is really a hit! I also put in some Potatoes, Egg Plant, Lady’s Fingers and some Shitake Mushrooms into the curry and they really taste great. Hubby is so delighted to see his curry dish and ate 2 big plates of rice to night. Too bad Angel couldn’t take any spicy food for the moment being or else, we will let her have a taste of how curry really taste like, wonder what will her reaction be then? Can’t wait :)

3 X’mas Hats and A Pair Of New boot

Hubby come home today and bought us 3 Christmas hats …… hhmmm, I wonder will we really need those Chirstmas hats …… at home?? Worst, I really cannot imagine 3 of us wearing those hats and making a parade in the malls because our age certainly does not permit us to do those crazy stuffs anymore, hahaha! But It was so sweet of hubby to bought those hats for us although I wonder will Angel be able to fit in one of those adults size hats LoL But I think Christmas mood certainly is all over hubby already :)

And finally, I manage to get Angel’s red red boots! Hurray!! Actually this is also Angel’s first pair of boot and I have been searching for a red one for quite some time already. I guess with this pair of boot, I certainly “hope” that it will marked an end to my shopping spree for little Angel because it has been a “crazy” shopping spree so far :) I have to hide some of Angel’s clothes and toys and take it out one at a time so that it will not looks too much for ‘somebody’, hehehe :P :P But hubby is so sweet and play it along whenever he asked “Oh …. Is this Angel’s new clothes again? Never seen this one before either?” and I will answer, “Oh …. This one WE bought few months ago, don’t you remember …..” and he will go “Oh …. Really?” while admiring his little princess with a contented smile on his face.

Hubby does commented those boots look so “Yeah” whatever that means but I am glad that at least Angel will want to wear them. I hope she will not think the shoes are too red because red is definitely the colour that she’s going to wear for th
is coming Christmas and also for the entire week of Chinese New Year :D :D

At last, Hubby Got A Lantern ….. ?

I have delegated an important task to hubby since last month …. That is to look for a lantern for our Angel! It is very important because this is Angel’s first lantern since she was still a baby when we celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival last year. It’s only few days away from the Festivals but I yet to see any lantern from hubby yet but hubby assured me, he will “gao-tim” (settle things)!!! So yesterday night, hubby came home happily and shows me a plastic bag.

Hub: TA DAAA!!!! ….. See? I said I will “gau tim” la, I have found the Lantern!!!
Me: Really?? Well done dear …… Quick! Let me see!!
Hub: I have skipped my lunch just to search for this, so hungry now ….. (making the pitiful face ...)
Me: You poor man …. But dear, the lantern you bought ……
Hub: Nice or not? The red one is for Angel …… and I got some extras too just in case :)
Me: But I thought you'll will buy something similar to this (while showing Joanne Mommy’s lantern for Sarah in her blog as pic below)
Hub: Ooo ….. but I didn’t see any of that wor. That is niceeeeeeeee ……… (Admiring Sarah’s lantern)
Me: ……....... (don’t know what to say)
Hub: But ….. the one I bought also very nice ….. very traditional ‘feel’ leh, just like the one we used to play (or burn to be more accurate??) when we were still kids. I didn’t know that they make such nice lanterns nowadays :(
Me: Ooo .... don’t worry, I think Angel will definitely love the lantern la since it’s her beloved daddy who skipped lunch to buy for her. I think I will secure it with a chopsticks la :)

Sigh, hubby is still hubby! But ……… I am glad that he has ‘tried his very best’ (in his terms) in getting an appropriate ‘lantern’ for his little girl at least :) That lantern will surely be very meaningful to Angel (and very memorable to me) because it’s the first lantern given by her Daddy. I think Hubby also first time buying these kind of stuffs la, he is still a baby, see??? :P :P Most importantly, we can spend this meaningful festival as a family of 3 together and also, with a 'less then expected’ lantern
to brighten up our Mid-Autumn night :) :) Happy Mid-Autumn everyone!!!!

P/s: Thank you Joanne, for letting me used the picture of your Sarah's lantern over here ya. Hope you don't mind about the extra 'blink blink' I've added :) Thanks a lot Joanne!! *hugs* :)
